    Job Title: Forklift Operator** **Job Description

     

    Join our team and work primarily on the loading dock for a company that handles large piping pieces for industrial applications. You will be responsible for pulling orders and preparing large piping products for shipment using an RF Scanner. This role requires handling materials weighing over 50 lbs, palletizing them, shrink-wrapping, and loading them onto trucks.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate sit-down forklift and battery-powered lifts.

    + Load and shrink-wrap materials onto pallets.

    + Restock warehouse and manually pull parts.

    + Prepare 20-35 UPS/FedEx packages daily.

    + Assist walk-in customers with part pickups.

    + Perform cleaning duties to maintain a bright and organized workspace.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of experience with forklift operation and order pulling.

    + Experience in material handling, pallet jack usage, and loading/unloading trucks.

    + Proficiency with RF Scanner and basic computer skills.

    + Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform inventory control.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Proven experience in a warehouse environment with a focus on production.

    + Efficient use of shrink-wrapping equipment.

    + Ability to work efficiently in a bright new warehouse space.

    Work Environment

    This warehouse features a bright, spacious, and well-lit environment, though it is not air-conditioned. Large fans are available to provide comfort. The team currently consists of approximately 14 employees. Work hours are from 4 pm to 12 am, with training provided on the second shift. The smaller crew on the second shift requires maturity in work performance.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
