    Job Title: CNC Mill and Lathe Operator** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe / Mill Machinist to join our 2nd shift team. This position operates advanced CNC multi-tasking equipment that combines turning and machining center capabilities, enabling efficient single-setup part production. You will play a key role in producing high-precision components—many for aerospace applications—while maintaining exceptional accuracy and quality.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate CNC multi-tasking equipment with turning and machining center capabilities.

    + Program and set up CNC machines based on print requirements and written instructions.

    + Perform live tooling CNC Lathe operations.

    + Read blueprints and apply GD&T.

    + Select and troubleshoot tooling and fixtures.

    + Develop and document reliable processes.

    + Inspect using micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and CMM.

    + Contribute positively to a teamwork environment, focusing on productivity, cooperation, data collection, and attitude.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with Mazak Integrex or comparable Mill/Turn equipment.

    + Knowledge of G-Code and Mazatrol.

    + Strong organizational and computer skills.

    + Advanced inspection skills including CMM.

    + Experience working with aerospace products and various materials including plastics.

    + Experience in machining with close tolerances

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to perform complex setups independently.

    + Experience in tool selection, work holding, programming, and operational sequencing for new jobs.

    + Advanced troubleshooting skills.

    + Experience running CMM programs.

    + Experience programming in G-Code, Mazatrol, or Mastercam.

    + Experience with multi-axis CNC machines and complex offsets.

    + More than 10 years of machining experience in an aerospace environment.

    + CNC Machining training or certification.

    + NYS Journeyman’s certification.

    This is a Contract position based out of East Aurora, NY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
