Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
Perform mechanical services on equipment. A strong working knowledge of precision alignment, welding, blueprint reading, mathematics, and preventative and predictive maintenance is essential. The role requires daily use of hand tools such as power tools, hand grinders, saws, drill presses, hydraulic pullers, and the ability to perform welding.
Responsibilities
+ Complete preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility.
+ Operate standard maintenance tools including power tools, basic hand tools, electric tools, precision maintenance tools, and preventative maintenance technology tools.
+ Utilize and work with maintenance trades and components such as electrical systems, welding, pipefitting, fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
+ Modify or build equipment by reading and comprehending electrical/mechanical schematics, blueprints, and operation manuals.
+ Document completed work and conditions found using maintenance computer software.
+ Interact regularly with peers and management to enhance facility operations and promote a teamwork-focused environment.
+ Operate forklifts, loaders, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts.

Work Environment
The position is onsite in Cedar Rapids, with flexible shifts from Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Enjoy a structured workweek without weekend responsibilities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
