Job Description

Join our team as a Maintenance Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our equipment and facilities. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong technical aptitude and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

+ Use necessary hand and power tools to replace components, make adjustments, and calibrate machinery to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

+ Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives and assist in deploying TPM objectives.

+ Perform preventive maintenance on all machinery in a timely manner and document completed work.

+ Evaluate equipment for repairs, enhancements, or upgrades and complete necessary work.

+ Perform and understand plumbing and basic carpentry tasks.

+ Execute welding and painting tasks.

+ Follow all lockout/tagout procedures.

+ Work safely and adhere to all safety policies.

+ Maintain inventory of supplies and spare parts.

+ Collaborate with departments on Continuous Improvement (CIP) projects.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance.

+ Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems.

+ Knowledge of safety practices including lockout/tagout and PPE use.

+ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 2 years' experience in related fields.

+ Ability to frequently bend, stoop, and lift products weighing up to 50 lbs.

+ Ability to read and understand mechanical, fluid power, building, and electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and prints.

+ Basic reading and math skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dubuque, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
