Job Title: Inspector II** **Job Description
As an Inspector II, you will be responsible for performing and recording dimensional and visual inspections of parts, assemblies, and final products in collaboration with the Engineering, Production, and Manufacturing Engineering departments. Your role is crucial in ensuring that products meet detailed specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct comprehensive product inspections using a variety of inspection instruments and equipment, such as CMM, micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
+ Perform detailed inspections of assembly-level drawings with supporting documentation to verify results against specifications.
+ Verify supplier approval status and certifications for accuracy and completeness.
+ Understand and adhere to internal company procedures.
+ Read and interpret detailed, assembly-level drawings and customer specifications accurately.
+ Mentor inspectors as needed to improve inspection processes.
+ Effectively inspect products using basic inspection tools, including micrometers and bore gages.
+ Utilize statistical process control (SPC) symbols and tools to interpret control plans and charts.
+ Apply shop mathematical calculations for complex projects, such as tolerance stack-ups and angle calculations.
+ Verify compliance of finished hardware with drawing requirements.
+ Meet deadlines for assigned jobs while maintaining professional integrity.
+ Collaborate with customer representatives during source inspections and audits.
+ Execute formal first article reports in accordance with AS9102 standards.
+ Seek opportunities for lean process improvements.
+ Demonstrate knowledge of raw materials, casting, forging layouts, and internal/external thread inspection.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in quality inspection using tools like calipers and micrometers.
+ Understanding of ISO standards and AS9102 requirements.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
+ Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.
+ Competency in using statistical process control tools and shop mathematics.
+ Ability to read decimals down to the millionth of an inch.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Good command of the English language for reading and interpreting documents.
+ Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and geometry.
+ Strong reasoning skills for defining problems and interpreting technical instructions.
+ Proficiency in using computer software, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
+ Knowledge of GD&T terminology and symbols.
+ Experience in mechanical inspection and handling raw materials.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valencia, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
