    Job Title: Manual Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our dynamic team in a manufacturing company specializing in Custom Baked Goods Decorating machinery. The successful candidate will set up machinery, run parts to tight tolerances, and read complex blueprints regularly. The role also involves working into a lead position in the shop, assisting with Mechanical Assembly of Machinery and Troubleshooting.

     

    Shift and Pay

     

    $23-$26/hr

     

    Shift is M-F 7:30 am to 4 pm

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate manual mills, including Bridgeport and lathes.

    + Read and interpret complex blueprints to ensure parts are machined to specifications.

    + Perform quality inspections on machined parts to maintain high standards.

    + Assist with mechanical assembly and troubleshooting of machinery.

    + Contribute to the leadership and development of the shop team.

    Essential Skills

    + 4+ years of experience in Manual Machining, primarily with mills such as Bridgeport.

    + Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude with skills in minor maintenance or mechanical assembly.

    + Leadership experience or potential with aspirations to lead a team in the future.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Journeyman Machinist papers are a plus.

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Red Lion, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.

     

    Company Paid Health Insurance (Capital Blue Cross). 6 Paid holidays.

    first year 40 hours PTO accrued

    second year 50 hours

    third year 60 hours

     

    PTO negotiable based on experience and tenure.

     

    As a selling point - it is worth mentioning that during COVID 19 the owner gave the shop off for the first 2 weeks with pay until they sorted out a plan. This shows the pride and passion the owner has for his business.

     

    Opportunity for advancement is highly likely with this role. There is interest in training and developing this hire to eventually run the shop as a supervisor.
