Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician performs a wide variety of general maintenance and repairs of the building, facilities and equipment including carpentry, plumbing, equipment moves, troubleshooting painting tasks, and other basic needs of the facility.

Primary Duties

+ Perform a wide variety of general building, facilities and equipment maintenance repairs and services

+ Grounds keeping- within facility and outside the building including the property.

+ Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks

+ Replace washers, faucets and seals on malfunctioning plumbing equipment; repair leaky faucets and clean clogged drains

+ Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines

+ Ensure mechanical and physical safeguards are used when performing equipment repair

+ Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related duties that may be outside of assigned priorities

Qualifications

+ Have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license

+ Lock out/Tag out training

+ Mechanical and troubleshooting capability

+ Knowledge of materials used in building maintenance and the safe and proper environmental disposal of materials

+ Ability to work independently or as a team member

+ Ability to maintain a professional courteous manner with all vendors, contractors, and fellow employees

Education / Experience

+ Working knowledge of techniques, materials, tools and equipment used for completion of the described job duties

+ Forklift license or ability to obtain license required

+ Three or more years’ experience in industrial maintenance setting
