Major Duties and Responsibilities

A Customs Brokerage Agent will be expected to ensure timely and accurate operations while providing exceptional customer service within the Brokerage Department.

+ Daily execution of workflow and department metrics

+ Enter declaration information from documents, or other sources into our customs entry system

+ Follow, update and create SOP's for client requirements

+ Actively seek efficiency and contribute ideas for enhancement of work product

+ Accurate and timely invoicing and strong understanding of payable process

+ Build and maintain strong relationships with the customers and government organizations

+ Ensure compliance to regulations at all times, both internal and external

+ Identify and manage exceptions while also identifying opportunities for continuous improvement

+ Effectively manage and organize emails for timely follow up

+ Collaborate with and support the team in a positive manner

+ 4 year College Degree

+ Customer Service experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

+ Critical Thinking and problem solving skills

+ Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results

+ Pro-active, strong organizational skills

+ Strong desire to learn

+ Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

+ Fluent in English

Reporting Structure

+ Customs Brokerage Lead Agent, Supervisor and Manager

Expected pay range for this position: $23.00-$25.00 per hour.
