    License and Certification Qualifications: Professional Purchasing Certification preferred.Education Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.Experience Qualifications: Four years school nutrition or purchasing/procurement experience required.Skills Qualifications: Ability to communicate with others in an effective and tactful manner; knowledge of School Nutrition Program (SNP) policies and procedures; knowledge of purchasing administration procedures; excellent customer service skills; ability to manage multiple priorities; ability to work as an effective team member; ability to follow oral and written instructions quickly and accurately; ability to detect and correct errors in standard English language usage; ability to represent Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) in a positive and professional manner; and strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.Primary Responsibilities: Support the School Nutrition Program (SNP) through administrative support, organizing and supervising orders, delivery, and receipt of purchased and donated items.1. Act as the liaison between the SNP Department and the local schools.a. Assist local schools with support as needed and directed.2. Provide purchasing support for the SNP Department.a. Review and approve weekly vendor invoices for accuracy and process in a timely and efficient manner.b. Review all price changes from contracted vendors and update system as directed.3. Provide audit support for the SNP Department. a. Maintain data on vendor credits/debits.b. Maintain usage and spending data as directed.c. Assist in evaluating needs of the department and the local schools as directed.4. Provide support of daily activities as they relate to vendor contracts.a. Assist with any issues that may arise.b. Assist procurement team with new vendor accounts set up and implementation as needed.5. Assist with USDA Entitlement funds management processes.a. Monitor NOI products and ensure proper pricing is captured upon delivery and invoicing.b. Create and maintain usage spreadsheets for entitlement spending as directed.6. Assist with training as directed.a. Teach and assist with relevant SNP courses as directed.b. Assist with additional training as directed.7. Provide back office software support.a. Assist in maintaining inventory, recipes, and products as directed.b. Maintain correct contract pricing and update as needed or directed. 8. Provide general office support for the SNP Department. a. Handle telephone coverage as directed, research answers to customer questions, and respond in a timely manner.b. Communicate in businesslike, courteous, and efficient manner.c. Route incoming and outgoing correspondence accurately.d. Assist central office staff with assigned responsibilities as directed.e. Attend meetings and conferences for SNP staff as assigned. 9. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to touch, handle, feel, and/or reach. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
