    Job Description:

    Are you a college student pursuing a degree in sciences and looking to gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge chemical laboratory? Join our team this summer as a Quality Control Intern and play an active role in supporting the analysis and testing of specialty chemicals used across a variety of industries.

    About the Role:

    As a Quality Control Intern, you will work alongside experienced professionals to prepare, analyze, and document results for raw materials, in-process batches, and finished products. This internship offers valuable exposure to modern instrumentation and quality systems within a regulated manufacturing environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Analyze specialty silanes, silicones, metal organics, acrylates, and other specialty chemicals for compliance with specifications

    • Conduct basic analyses using:

    o Spectrometers

    o Gas Chromatography (GC)

    o High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)

    o Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC)

    o Karl Fischer Titration (KF)

    o Viscometers and wet chemistry techniques

    • Log and retain samples for testing

    • Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records

    • Assist in root cause investigations for non-conformances

    • Collaborate with the Laboratory Supervisor and broader team to ensure timely communication and compliance with lab procedures

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Currently enrolled in college-level coursework in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related science field

    • Basic understanding of wet chemistry and analytical instrumentation

    • Familiar with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Comfortable handling and disposing of hazardous chemicals safely

    • Able to adapt to changing priorities and follow ISO procedures

    • Team-oriented with a high degree of professionalism

    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
