    Position Summary

    The summer season is on its way and the Lincoln County Parks Department is looking to prepare for another great season of outdoor enjoyment for the people of our community. We are currently looking for Park Hosts to work at Moonshine Park this coming season.

     

    $16.82 - $22.61 per hour*

     

    *Lincoln County follows Oregon Pay Equity laws in reviewing education and experience for wage offer.

     

    This is a SEASONAL position that begins Memorial Day weekend and ends Labor Day weekend.

     

    Moonshine Park in Lincoln County

     

    The person in this role will perform general manual tasks on a seasonal basis at all Lincoln County parks, while observing all safety rules, laws, and park rules. They will be a main contact and the face of the County for the people enjoying and camping in our Parks this summer season.

     

    Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities

    JOB FUNCTIONS

    Perform general manual tasks on a seasonal basis at all Lincoln County parks:

    + Collect garbage and clean Park restrooms.

    + Cut brush and mow grass.

    + Maintain tools and equipment.

    + Maintain picnics tables and fireplaces in safe working order. Maintain signage.

    + Assist campers and other Park users.

    Typical Qualifications

    Minimum Education Level

     

    High School Diploma / GED

     

    Desirable Qualifications: Previous experience maintaining public parks and contact with the public preferred.

    Knowledge of:

    + The maintenance and use of tools and equipment.

    + Knowledge and skills to operate small powered tools such as weed eaters, power saws and lawn mowers.

    Skill or ability to:

    + Work in a safe and efficient manner.

    + Observe safety rules, laws, and Park rules.

    + Receive and give directions.

    + Problem-solve and de-escalate tense situations.

    + Complete tasks without direct supervision.

    + Ability to perform heavy manual labor.

    This role requires daily cleaning and outdoor physical tasks (restrooms, leaf blowing, emptying trash, etc.) Are you comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks in all weather conditions? Please describe any experience you have with similar work.
