    High School Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate)

     

    Contract Length: 01/13/2026 through remainder of 2025-2026School Year

     

    Schedule: Full-Time, 37.5 hours/week

     

    Caseload: 25-30 students. minimal push/pull

    Position Overview

    Amergis is seeking a qualified High School SpecialEducation Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year in the Englewood/Sheridan,CO area. This role supports students in a mild/moderate setting with a caseloadof approximately 25–30 students and minimal push/pull services. As locals toColorado, our team is excited to learn about your preferences, licensurestatus, and experience.

     

    This teacher will work under the direction of the SpecialEducation Program Administrator to provide high-quality services to students ingrades K–12, with a strong commitment to collaborative planning, instructionalsupport, and implementation of individualized student programs.

     

    Non-Negotiable Required Experience

     

    + SSP License (Colorado Special Services Provider License)

    + Enrich Platform Experience: Web-based system used for IEPs, 504s, assessments, and compliance documentation.

    + Instructional Leadership Experience: Leading a department, supporting curriculum and instructional strategies, using data for student achievement, and contributing to professional development.

    Minimum Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + Valid state teaching certificate as required by district/contract

    + Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)

    + Certifications preferred:

    + Standard Elementary Teaching

    + Standard Secondary Teaching

    + Standard Special Teaching

    + LBS1 endorsement

    + Compliance with all professional standards of practice

    + Completion of Amergis Competency Program (if applicable)

    + Current CPR (if applicable)

    + TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)

    + Current health certificate (per state/contract)

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Successful completion of new-hire training

    + Understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements

    + Strong communication skills and English proficiency

    + Computer proficiency
