The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will lead process development and optimization for automotive manufacturing operations. This role focuses on improving efficiency, ensuring compliance with ISO/IATF standards, and supporting new product launches. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement advanced manufacturing techniques and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Design, develop, and optimize automotive manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain quality standards.

+ Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues and scrap reduction efforts.

+ Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.

+ Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability of new automotive components.

+ Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.

+ Support equipment selection, installation, and validation for automotive production lines.

+ Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.

+ Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff.

+ Drive continuous improvement projects focused on scrap reduction, cycle time improvement, and cost savings.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Manufacturing, Mechanical or similar degree required. Master’s degree in engineering preferred.

+ 5+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing engineering.

+ Papermaking or paper converting experience is a plus.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with automotive components and assembly processes.

+ Ability to prioritize multiple projects, work under tight deadlines, and handle changing priorities

+ Results-oriented with strong problem-solving, analytical and leadership skills.

+ Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.

+ Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.

+ Willingness to travel up to 20% for supplier visits or plant support.

Salary Range:

$92,800 - $127,600
