13724BRJob Description:United States Steel Corporation has an immediate opening for a Business Planner in its Granite City Works facility. In this role, the Business Planner will support GCW Operations as it relates to production schedules, operating plans, inventory management and on-time delivery performance.
Responsibilities include the following:
+ Oversee the output of production schedules for Caster and Hot Mill scheduling
+ Manage inventory flow of material between operating units
+ Communicate daily with Area Managers across multiple operating units
+ Manages and controls work-in-process and finished goods inventory;
+ Interacts with and supervises union-represented personnel
+ Represent the Business Planning Team on a weekend duty rotational
+ Conduct/attend safety meetings and perform required safety communications
Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, marketing, operations management or a related field
+ At least 2-5 years of related experience, Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Ability to work weekends, holidays and extended hours as necessary
+ Ability to travel to meetings, trainings, etc. as necessary
+ Excellent communications and interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively with various levels of managemen
+ Excellent planning and organization skills
+ Computer literacy to a working skills level-proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
+ Manufacturing and operating experience preferred
Salary Range: $86,598 - $104,776/yr. This base salary range is a good faith estimate.
