Job Description

Insight Global is looking to hire a Secret Cleared Embedded Software Engineer to support a customer in the Baltimore, MD area. This person will be joining a team responsible for developing defense equipment used on military ships. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to:

Participate in daily scrum meetings and develop within an Agile environment.

Collaborate with other Engineers and Architects to develop technical specifications.

Reference previous software that was used on other programs to understand what can be re-used and what has to be re-written for new program requirements.

Develop code within C/C++ device drivers, middleware, and application development on Linux/VxWorks platforms.

Identify potential risks, support defect resolution, and enhance code to minimize vulnerabilities.

Skills and Requirements

Active Secret clearance

Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 5+ years of experience

Embedded software developing using C++ for radars or other RF systems

Strong Digital Signal Processing (DPS) experience - understanding software wave parameters, implementing complex DSP algorithms (including filtering, FFT, target detection, tracking)

Experience working in an environment with VxWorks operating systems
