Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a team of experienced, driven Software Development Engineer (Front End) to join an established health technology company sitting San Jose, CA or Austin, TX. This is a full-time, permanent role with competitive salary, bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

- Architecting user experiences: Lead design discussions to build scalable, performant, and intuitive front-end applications integrated with robust backend services.

• Develop responsive and accessible UIs: Create rich, interactive web interfaces using modern frameworks while ensuring cross-browser compatibility and accessibility standards.

• Full-stack implementation: Build and maintain APIs or server-side logic using Node.js, Express, or similar frameworks to support front-end functionality.

• State management & performance optimization: Implement efficient state management (Redux, Zustand, MobX) and optimize rendering for speed and scalability.

• Integrate with backend and data services: Collaborate with backend teams to design and consume RESTful and GraphQL APIs, ensuring secure and reliable data flow.

• Cloud deployment & CI/CD: Deploy applications on AWS/GCP/Azure, leveraging Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.

• Reliability & observability: Implement monitoring and error tracking using tools like Sentry, New Relic, and performance audits with Lighthouse.

• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with UX designers, Product Managers, and Data/ML teams to deliver seamless, data-driven user experiences

Skills and Requirements

• 5-7 years building front-end applications at scale, with exposure to backend or full-stack development.

• Proven track record delivering responsive, accessible, and performant web applications integrated with APIs.

• Experience collaborating with design, backend, and platform teams.

• Front-End: JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 (Sass/Less), React (Hooks), Vue.js, Angular; SSR frameworks like Next.js or Nuxt.js.

• Backend: Node.js, Express, familiarity with REST and GraphQL APIs.

• State Management: Redux, Zustand, MobX, Vuex.

• Testing: Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright.

• Performance & Accessibility: Lighthouse, Web Vitals, ARIA standards.

• Build & Tooling: Webpack, Vite, Babel, npm/yarn.

• Cloud & Infra: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure deployment.

• Databases: Basic SQL (Postgres/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) experience.

• Version Control & CI/CD: Git, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar · Bachelors in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (master's preferred or equivalent experience).

• Strong CS fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, and web performance optimization.
