Summary This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Protective Service, Springfield, Virginia. Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Cyber Partner Integration Planner (GS-0301-13) position is to advance and coordinate collaboration among internal and external partners to integrate cyber planning, operations, and resources that support the security, safety, and operation of Federal facilities. In this role, the incumbent serves as a central integration and coordination point-linking cyber partners, aligning planning and operational efforts, and supporting the development and evaluation of cyber policies, plans, and programs to ensure organizational cyber objectives are effectively achieved Duties of the position: Serving as a liaison with internal and external partners involved in cyber planning and operations by coordinating meetings, sharing information, and maintaining working relationships related to systems supporting Federal facilities. Coordinating and integrating cyber planning and operational activities across organizations by aligning courses of action and supporting cybersecurity assessments, technical countermeasure efforts, and related operational requirements. Developing cyber-related plans, policies, procedures, and guidance by drafting documentation and incorporating input from internal and external stakeholders. Participating in cyber planning teams, coordination groups, and task forces by providing subject matter input, responding to requests for information, and supporting cyber engagement activities. Monitoring and evaluating cyber program activities by reviewing operational information, assessing progress toward objectives, and providing updates or recommendations to leadership. Qualifications Specialized Experience: GS-13: Applicant must demonstrate one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties: Coordinating cyber-related planning or operational activities with internal organizations or external partners to support cybersecurity or facility-related missions; and Developing cyber-related plans, policies, procedures, or strategies using established planning processes; and Applying cybersecurity concepts, principles, or risk management frameworks to support cyber operations, assessments, or initiatives; and Evaluating the effectiveness or outcomes of cyber programs or initiatives to determine whether objectives are being met. NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible. Certifications: Certifications addressing security and risk management, asset security, security engineering, communications and network security, identity and access management, security assessment and testing, security operations, and software development security may be beneficial to enhancing the performance of the position's duties.
