    **Location:** Renton, WA (Onsite)

    **Schedule:** Monday–Friday | First Shift, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

    **Job Type:** Full-Time Consultant (12-Month Assignment)

    **Pay Rate Starting at:** $39.73 per hour

     

    About the Role

     

    PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced **Employee Development Specialist** to support workforce excellence at a world-renowned aerospace manufacturer. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in developing, coaching, and empowering aerospace manufacturing teams—ensuring skills, safety, and performance meet the highest industry standards.

     

    This is a hands-on, high-impact opportunity where your expertise directly contributes to operational readiness, quality, and long-term workforce capability within **Commercial Airplanes** .

    What You’ll Do Day to Day

    + Conduct learning needs analyses and establish clear, measurable learning objectives

    + Design, customize, and deliver training using a variety of instructional methods

    + Serve as an instructor in specialized aerospace skill areas such as Electrical, Structural, Quality, Systems, or related disciplines

    + Facilitate classroom and hands-on learning events, tracking and assessing participant performance

    + Provide individual and group coaching to improve performance and support continuous improvement

    + Deliver Train-the-Trainer sessions to qualify additional instructors

    + Ensure all training complies with commercial, government, regulatory, and organizational standards

    + Emphasize and enforce safety practices in all training environments

    + Maintain a positive, professional learning atmosphere and address classroom challenges promptly

    + Perform assessments and recommend process, performance, and training improvements

    + Demonstrate mechanical tasks using tools such as drills, rivet guns, and Huck pullers

    Required Qualifications

    + 3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing operations and/or manufacturing support

    + Minimum 3 years of experience coaching, instructing, or serving as an employee development specialist

    + Experience designing and delivering leadership development or technical training curriculum

    + Ability to read, interpret, and train from detailed work instructions, blueprints, and drawings

    + Strong communication skills with the ability to instruct and demonstrate in front of groups

    + **This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.**

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Aerospace Manufacturing and/or Lean certifications

    + Hands-on experience in Structural, Electrical, Repair, Functional Test, Seal, or Systems areas

    + Background as a mechanic working with structural, mechanical, or electrical systems

    + Experience in Electrician, Structure, Wing, or Spar Assembly

    + Experience conducting needs assessments and job/task analyses

    **Pay Details:** $39.73 per hour
