The Corporate Treasury team is looking for a well-rounded finance professional who can grow and develop within the finance career path at Caterpillar. As a member of the Risk Management Services team, the Finance Specialist supports various FX and Commodity Risk Management activities. This role provides analysis and recommendations on foreign exchange and commodity market risks. The incumbent analyzes and evaluates developments in foreign currencies, commodities, interest rates, and equities markets; helps develop strategies to manage foreign exchange and commodity price risks; recommends and implements strategies and maintains appropriate documentation; consults with other Caterpillar entities on foreign exchange and commodity issues; and provides training.
What You Will Do:
+ Manage foreign exchange and commodity price risks: recommend and implement hedging strategies.
+ Utilize existing standard processes and instruments to hedge currencies and commodities using spots, forwards, swaps and options.
+ Monitor foreign exchange market conditions and other financial derivatives to adjust to market risks when needed.
+ Support foreign exchange and commodity forecasting and reporting.
+ Assess financial risks of forecasted transactions using modeling capabilities of in-house applications. Engage with regional treasury centers regarding the global FX forecasting process.
+ Support the production of monthly foreign exchange rates for accounting, perform associated risk analysis, interpret results and maintain rates in the Treasury Management System.
What You Have:
+ **Education/Experience:** College or university degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other business-related fields; 3+ years of job-related experience in Treasury / Finance.
+ **Accuracy and Attention to Detail:** Expert understanding of the value and necessities of accuracy with the ability to complete tasks with a high level of precision.
+ **Communicate and Present Complex Concepts:** Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in simple, clear language adapted to the appropriate audience; knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding.
+ **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment with decision making processes and associated tools/techniques.
+ **Financial Markets:** Knowledge of the relevant financial markets; ability to apply financial market knowledge to various business environments
+ **Financial Analysis:** Ability to read, interpret, and draw accurate conclusions from treasury and financial market materials.

Summary Pay Range:
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
