    Our Vision for this Role

     

    The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing deep financial analysis of our nearly 2,900 restaurants across our 8 iconic brands. This will include assisting the deal makers by providing impactful market research, analysis and insights in order to obtain favorable rental rates. Flynn Group has aggressive development plans, and this role will lend financial support and IRR modeling to achieve this growth. In this role, the successful candidate will combine strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset with real-world perspectives driven by an understanding of property issues, cross-sector trends and broad marketplace drivers. The successful candidate will have a key role to play in support Flynn Group leadership while connecting and collaborating across multiple departments to deeply understand our asset base and determine how we can maximize our returns and create value.

    What We Will Accomplish Together

    + Provide overall asset financial support to achieve FG’s growth and related value creation objectives

    + Build and maintain comprehensive, integrated annual and long-range asset models; new location returns analysis, and monthly tracking of upcoming lease options by brand

    + Support the Sr. Director of Real Estate Optimization in all aspects of asset management, including annual asset planning, lease renewals, extensions, relocations and asset rationalizations

    + Monthly identification of any assets that would require secondary consideration of asset action plans based on recent financial performance as well as monthly rent payment audits

    + Participate in the asset assessment and due diligence process of potential acquisitions

    + Create financial models and scenarios as inputs for business planning decisions in areas such as tracking and distribution of openings/closings of stores, performance vs. expectations of new stores, and budget vs. actual assessment of construction costs (and continuous assessment of outliers/issues)

    + Prepare periodic operations and financial reviews, including variance and financial statement analysis, communication of business drivers and potential implications on future performance

    + Provide analytical counsel to inform decision-making for strategic and tactical initiatives across business operations, development, and real estate

    + Understand market dynamics and competitive landscapes; conduct analysis, synthesize and summarize implications to the business while assisting dealmakers with ROI analyses and site packages

    + Tracking of Tenant Improvements, tracking of franchisor incentives and reconciliation of POs and line-item cost allocation to projects

    + Serve as an objective financial steward with an enterprise perspective

    What You Have

    + Bachelor’s degree, in a quantitative discipline is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in FP&A, corporate development, accounting, or real estate.

    + Proficiency with Excel modeling and data management as well as PowerPoint.

    + Strong understanding of financial accounting.

    + Proven analytical and technical skills and problem-solving abilities

    + SAP experience is preferred.

    + Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams and business partners.

    + Self-starter who has had success working in ambiguous situations.

    + Must possess strong communication (oral and written) and analytical skills.

    + Finally, you should bring an excellent sense of humor to the table – we like to have FUN!
