Koniag Government Services (KGS) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and support quality initiatives across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in executing and maintaining ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001:2015, ISO 28001:2007, ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018, ISO/IEC 27001:2022) and CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) Services and Development models, with a proven track record of leading successful quality management implementations against industry standards and best practices, organizational process improvements, and proposal solutions involving quality assurance and quality control approaches. This role will also be responsible for managing a centralized repository of quality processes, tools, templates, and best practices, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and continuous improvement across all projects and departments.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
+ Serve as subject matter expert on ISO and CMMI initiatives, providing guidance and support to project teams and KGS leadership.
+ Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality management activities associated with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 28001:2007, ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018, ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standards and CMMI-Services & Development Maturity Level 3 best practices.
+ Coordinate and support internal and external ISO audits, including evidence preparation and managing audit findings and corrective actions to closure.
+ Maintain CMMI best practices across the organization for the Services and Development Maturity Level 3 models by coordinating with projects and organizational departments to develop institutional processes, tools, and templates for teams to use.
+ Conduct internal audits across the organization for alignment against the CMMI Services and Development Maturity Level 3 models.
+ Maintain central repository of organizational quality management resources by updating processes, tools, and templates.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and organizational initiatives.
+ Create, monitor, and analyze quality performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
+ Drive continuous process improvement initiatives using structured methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
+ Maintain documentation and records in accordance with quality standards and company policies.
+ Support proposal development solutions by contributing quality-related content and process narratives that address white paper, RFI, or RFP requirements.
+ Generate project-specific quality plans as needed and identify appropriate quality metrics to monitor performance and compliance.
+ Develop and deliver training programs to promote process and quality awareness and best practices across our organization.
Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
+ 3-5 years required with a minimum of 5 years preferred in quality assurance or quality management roles.
+ Demonstrated experience in executing and maintaining ISO 9001:2015, ISO 28001:2007, ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, and CMMI Services and/or Development Maturity Level 3 (or higher) implementations.
+ Experience in process improvement, including identifying inefficiencies and implementing corrective actions.
+ Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Corrective and Preventive Action, Root Cause Analysis).
+ Experience with proposal writing, particularly in support of government requirements
+ Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
+ Certification in quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
+ Industry experience supporting federal government agencies as a quality management lead.
+ Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies in quality systems.
+ Proficiency with MS applications like PowerPoint and SharePoint
+ Understanding of document control systems and versioning best practices.
+ Ability to interpret and apply requirements from standards such as ISO, CMMI, Cyber Security Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) along with familiarity of government issued standards such as NIST SP 800-171 Rev. 2 and NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
+ Experience supporting quality in proposal development and contract compliance.
+ Working knowledge of configuration management principles.
+ Ability to facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action planning sessions.
+ Experience with training development and delivery for quality-related topics.
