Job Description:

+ The role involves extensive travel within the continental United States, potentially anywhere from Seattle to Florida.

+ The Project manager will be responsible for overseeing on-site execution

+ Managing third-party labor teams.

+ Executing a specific phasing plan. Ensuring the phasing plan is completed entirely for each night.

+ Escalating any issues that arise during the night's work or forecasting potential issues.

+ Maintaining in-depth communication between site operations and senior leadership.

+ Candidates need to live close to a major airport for easier travel arrangements*

+ *The job requires being prepared to travel Monday through Friday for the duration of the 4-month assignment, minus major federal holidays*

Job Responsibilities

+ The work involves retrofitting existing grocery buildings, modifying them to meet new design requirements and customer needs.

+ Responsibilities include design review, ordering shelving, overseeing installation of new shelving through third-party contractors, and ensuring all work meets permitted standards and food health safety standards.

+ The project manager needs to be able to work in a live operational environment, making changes to buildings while they're still running without impacting customer or associate experience.

+ The role requires strong communication skills, technological proficiency (including use of computers, email, Microsoft software, and potentially CAD or other specialized software), and the ability to travel continuously.

+ This is a travel-intensive role with night work, requiring flexibility and the ability to work in various locations across the US.

Years of Experience:

+ 4-7 years of project management experience

Industry Preference:

+ Preference for candidates with construction, grocery, or major retail, or major retail construction

Required Skills

+ Must live near a major airport/metropolitan city

+ Read Composite / Drawings

+ Understand/know how to use a computer, Microsoft products, Smartsheet, BIM360, Bluebeam, and CAD

+ Strong communication and ability to make decisions in high-pressure situations.

+ Experienced in Projects before.

+ Travel: Willingness to travel 75%

+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

+ Communication: "Clear and effective" communication skills

+ Computer proficiency, Experience with email, Microsoft software, Ability to use Bluebeam software, CAD

+ Ability to travel (night work)

Preferred Skills

+ Financial Acumen: Experience with financial analysis is a plus.

+ PMP certified

+ Engineering or Construction Background
