    Introduction

     

    The AMQ team delivers a high-performance messaging implementation based on [1] Apache ActiveMQ Artemis and [2] ArkMQ, focused on delivering AMQ on both Bare Metal and as a cloud-native messaging solution.

    In this role, you’ll provide both technical leadership and strategic direction,

    ensuring your team delivers innovative, production-grade Messaging features that help global enterprises build successful on Prem and Cloud based solutions. You’ll act as a bridge between software engineering and product management—driving execution while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

    Your role and responsibilities

    * Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary team of software developers.

    * Define technical direction, set priorities, and drive successful execution of Messaging projects within the AMQ product suite

    * Collaborate with product and engineering teams to shape intelligent, customer-focused solutions

    * Oversee the full development lifecycle, from research and prototyping to scalable deployment and monitoring

    * Manage hiring, onboarding, education for new hires.

    * Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement

    * Communicate strategy, progress, and impact to stakeholders across the organization Requirements

    Required technical and professional expertise

    * Demonstrated experience in software engineering with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or management role

    * Proven experience delivering features in a production environment

    * Strong technical foundation in software engineering

    * Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, or Go, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms and Kubernetes

    * Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating across engineering and product functions

    * Excellent communication and organizational skills

    Preferred technical and professional experience

    * Familiarity with Cloud based deployments using Kubernetes.

    * Exposure to Messaging technologies in enterprise applications
