As a **Security Guard - Armed Retail Mall** in **Houston, TX** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Professional with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This armed and driving position requires you to respond quickly to situations, provide excellent customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and staff. You will be part of a team that values integrity, reliability, and innovation, making a positive impact in a dynamic retail environment.

What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter inappropriate activity and to observe for unusual circumstances.

+ Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.

+ Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate observations to Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as needed.

+ Document observations, incidents, and activities in a timely and accurate manner as required by Allied Universal policies.

+ Assist customers, visitors, and employees with security-related matters and provide directions or information as needed.

+ Carry and maintain authorized firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific policies, ensuring all security-related procedures are followed.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.

+ Hold an armed guard card or license.

+ Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
