    Job Description

    The position involves operating specialized inspection equipment and applying comprehensive knowledge of construction disciplines, including civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineering principles. Responsibilities include reading and analyzing designs and blueprints to interpret the architect’s intended use, as well as identifying structural complexities that may conceal ulterior purposes. The role requires expertise in Technical Surveillance Countermeasures and familiarity with devices used by both hostile and friendly intelligence services for clandestine surveillance. Additional duties include writing detailed reports in English, analyzing findings and security situations requiring staff action, and maintaining accurate daily logs throughout the tour of duty.

    Key Duties

    + Operate proposed inspection equipment

    + Utilize knowledge of all construction disciplines, to include civil architectural, mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering principles.

    + Read and analyze designs and blueprints and recognize the architect's intended use.

    + Analyze designs and structural complexities, which are intended to mask an ulterior purpose not intended by the architect.

    + Exercise knowledge of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures, construction principles, and the types of devices used by hostile and friendly intelligence services for the purpose of clandestine surveillance.

    + Write detailed reports in English and complete the analyses of issues, findings, and security situations which require staff action.

    + Maintain daily logs during their tour of duty.

    Requirements

    + Experienced in constructing and maintaining SAPFs per DoDM 5205.07 Volumes 1–4 and ICD 705 standards for SCIF compliance.

    + Skilled in using alarm systems, metal detectors, x-ray devices, and CCTV systems.

    + Proficient in English for reading, speaking, and writing clear reports.

    + Minimum 5 years’ experience in one or more areas: construction security surveillance, TSCM, counterintelligence security, construction QA, or supervisory construction.

    + Ability to read blueprints and analyze designs, including identifying hidden structural complexities.

    + Knowledgeable in all construction disciplines and Technical Surveillance Countermeasures.

    + Familiar with IC Tech Spec and devices used for clandestine surveillance.

    + Strong independent decision-making, initiative, and ability to work with minimal supervision.

    + Capable of writing detailed reports and analyses of security issues requiring action.

     

    Compensation

     

    $44 an hour
