OSP Technician – Fremont, CA

Pay: $25–$40/hr (based on experience)

Contract: 6 Months (with potential for extension)

About the Role

Are you ready to work on cutting-edge fiber optic infrastructure and help keep communities connected? We’re looking for an OSP Technician to join our team in Fremont, CA. This is a hands-on role where you’ll install, maintain, and repair fiber optic networks that power today’s technology.

What You’ll Do

+ Install: String and secure new fiber optic cables on poles, ensuring proper tension and support.

+ Maintain & Repair: Inspect for wear and tear, re-tension cables, and repair damaged lines to prevent service interruptions.

+ Splice & Terminate: Join new cable sections and connect lines to service points using specialized tools and techniques.

+ Test: Verify signal integrity, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

+ Stay Safe: Follow strict safety protocols while working outdoors and at heights.

What We’re Looking For

+ Experience with fiber optic cable installation, splicing, and testing

+ Knowledge of OSP construction methods (aerial and underground)

+ Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

+ Comfortable working at heights using aerial lifts or bucket trucks

+ Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills

Nice to Have

+ Telecommunications experience

+ Construction management knowledge

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
