*Patient Care Technician - General Internal Medicine - 7p - 7a*

The *General Internal Medicine* unit is a 25-bed medical oncology unit providing care to adult and geriatric patients ranging in age from 18 - 95. Four monitored beds are designated for melanoma, renal cell carcinoma, sarcoma, cervical, ovarian, thoracic and pancreatic cancer patients receiving high-dose bolus interleukin-2 and/or targeted cellular therapy requiring cardiac monitoring. Primary populations treated include: melanoma, sarcoma and GI patients receiving complex chemotherapeutic and bio-immunotherapeutic regimens and all solid tumor cancer patients receiving immune effector cell therapy.

The *Ideal candidate* has a *high school diploma or equivalent* and preferably *one year of healthcare experience*. They work well on a *care team*, assisting with patient activities, vital signs, and maintaining a safe environment while ensuring accurate patient information updates.

*Working Hours:* The working hours for this role will be 7p-7a. It will be 3 days a week at 12hrs a day.

*Essential Job Functions:*

* Acts as a member of a multidisciplinary team to identify and address patient care needs

* Assists with activities of daily living, patient mobilization, admissions/discharges, and obtaining vital signs

* Updates and retrieves patient information accurately

* Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly patient environment

* Functions as part of an assigned care team
