    Job Description

    A Higher Education Client of Insight Global is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support a strategic data enablement initiative aimed at enhancing analytics capabilities and driving data-informed decision-making. This role will focus on refining and expanding interactive dashboards, developing proof-of-concept solutions, and gathering stakeholder feedback to guide iterative improvements. This BI Analyst will collaborate closely with business users, BI developers, and project managers to define requirements for future data needs and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality dashboards and reports. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving technical and data issues, improving documentation, managing change, and facilitating training to promote adoption and usability. Additionally, this individual will assist in documenting and redesigning business processes to align with long-term goals of building a robust data warehouse and analytics framework. Strong communication and coordination skills are essential, as this position plays a critical role in engaging stakeholders and establishing sustainable support structures for ongoing success.

     

    We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized individual with excellent problem solving skills. This position is a 6 month contract role with possibility of extensions, and can pay between $40-$50/hour with medical benefits and 401k options offered on contract.     Skills and Requirements

     

    - 5+ years of experience in roles such as Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Project Manager, or Support Analyst within BI or data enablement projects.

     

    - Strong background in Power BI dashboard development, SQL querying, and data analysis.

     

    - Experience in requirements gathering, process documentation, and change management.

     

    - Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

     

    - Proficiency in technical writing and ability to facilitate training and go-live support. - Familiarity with data governance, ETL processes, and operational data stores.

     

    - Exposure to healthcare or higher education environments and related systems.

     

    - Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FERPA) and security best practices.
