    Responsibilities

    + Demonstrates competence in the skills (critical thinking, interpersonal, and technical) necessary to carry out assigned duties.

    + Recognizes and responds to patients' physical, mental, emotional and developmental needs that need to be evaluated in relation to the patient populations served appropriately.

    + Assesses comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or the situation, completes needed assessments and collaborates with physicians & providers

    + Encourages feedback from the patient, families/significant others, peers, and other disciplines regarding perception of care provided to patients and utilizes feedback to improve patient care practices.

    + Acts as resource person in the subspecialty of medical oncology.

    + Answers incoming telephone calls and answers patient questions.

    + Confirms scheduled appointments.

    + Projects positive, flexible attitude and communications in order to meet patient's needs.

    Qualifications

    Education: Must be a graduate of accredited School of Nursing.

    License(s)/Certification(s):

    Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in the State of Illinois.

     

    Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Illinois

     

    Oncology Certification preferred.

     

    Current CPR Certification.

     

    Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
