    Your Role as a Swim Instructor

     

    At British Swim School, we do more than teach swim lessons—we create a safe, energetic environment where kids learn while having fun.

    What you will do:

    + Teach swim lessons to children (starting at 3 months old) and adults using our proven, gentle methods

    + Create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment

    + Build strong connections with students, parents, and team members

    + Help students gain confidence and essential water safety skills

    What We’re Looking For:

    + College studentsseeking flexible, resume-building work

    + Educators or childcare professionalswho enjoy teaching in a hands-on setting

    + Retireeslooking for meaningful, active part-time work

    + Adultswanting evening or weekend hours

    + Anyonewho loves working with kids and being part of a mission-driven team

    Qualifications:

    + High school diploma (or in progress)

    + Comfortable in the water (strong swimming skills are a plus, but we train you)

    + Energetic, patient, and reliable

    + Willing to complete all required (paid) training

    Preferred but Not Required:

    + Lifeguard, CPR, or AED certifications(can be obtained during training)

    + One or more years of swimming experience or teaching children

    While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities, most of our students are preschool and elementary-aged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. It's helpful if you have experience with children or in a child-focused job, but it's not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.

     

    We also have exciting opportunities with our Customer Service Team, even if you're not in the pool. These are the people committed to providing the best service in the industry. In these roles, you might talk to parents on the phone or by the pool. Wherever you are, the aim is to make everyone feel like part of the British Swim School Family as we focus on ensuring the “Survival of the Littlest.”
