We are looking for a student who is able to work within **a 3 or 4-hour block each day in the morning (Monday through Friday) between the hours of 8:30 am and 12:30 pm or afternoon (Monday through Friday) between the hours of 12:30 pm and 4:30 pm.**

Job Summary
Interlibrary Loan is a service whereby a user of one library can borrow books or receive articles from materials that are owned by another library. Document Delivery is a service that provides Marriott Library patrons PDF files of articles owned by our library. Course Materials provides access to course-assigned resources at the University of Utah. The employee in this position will process incoming Interlibrary Loan article requests from other libraries and fulfill digitization requests for Course Materials and Document Delivery. After ownership of the articles is verified and retrieved from the library stacks or subscribed electronic resources, the employee will scan/download and deliver the requested materials electronically.
For the Library to be able to appropriately monitor hours worked, part-time employees are generally asked to restrict their work with the University of Utah to Library employment only, unless an exception is granted.
Responsibilities
Employee will be assigned tasks in any of the following areas of the department: Lending, Borrowing, Document Delivery or Course Materials.
Those responsibilities include:
+ Verify ownership and availability of materials from the Marriott Library’s collection using several software programs
+ Retrieve books and journals from the library’s collections
+ Scan articles using various types of equipment and technologies
+ Perform accessibility remediation on electronic documents as needed
+ Search and download articles from library online databases, microfilm, or microfiche
+ Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a current University of Utah student enrolled 6 undergraduate credit hours or 5 graduate credit hours during the fall and spring semesters. Work-study applicants are allowed. Must not be simultaneously working another job for the University of Utah. Must be able to work a shift of 3 to 4 hours in the morning (8:30 to 12:30) or afternoon (12:30 to 4:30) M-F.
