    Description

    Do you love great food and great people?  Come join us!  We are looking for fantastic, customer-focused Pastry Cooks for the Morning shift to join our exciting and rewarding food-focused organization!  Our team members are the driving force of the company and our biggest asset to success of the market!

     

    Pastry Cooks work with the Bakers and Pastry Chefs to produce bakery and pastry items.

    Responsibilities:

    + Produce pastry goods such as cookies, brownies, breads, cakes, puddings, icings, fancy pastries and desserts daily

    + Decorate and plate various pastries and desserts

    + Measure and mix the highest quality flour, flavorings and fruit to form amazing creations

    + Keep all kitchen supplies and food items stocked and ready for service

    + Maintain exceptional production knowledge and attention to detail with focus on presentation and taste quality

    + Maintain a solid knowledge of all food products and skillfully apply culinary techniques

    + Ensure all orders are processed properly and placed in designated areas

    + Properly label and date all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation

    + Assist the Pastry Chef when needed in execution of production

    + Ensure superior food quality. Correct any irregularities

    Qualifications

    + 1+ years of pastry experience

    + Great attention to detail

    + Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, sheets, ovens and proof boxes.

    + Knowledge of weights, measures and various baking and preparation techniques

    + Artistic ability and creativity to produce pastries and desserts that look and taste great

    + Stamina: Pastry jobs require early morning hours. Good with repetitive tasks.
