Duties Description Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Manage SST and OSHA training logistics, including tracking documentation in specialized spreadsheets, escorting students, and printing official Worker Wallet Cards.• Support Code Rule 59 operations by updating citation statuses, processing noncompliance letters, and managing return receipts. • Ensure organizational resilience through the NYSIF Continuity portal as the Primary Bold Continuity Planner. • Handle essential reporting and communication, oversee the Risk Control mailbox, produce monthly statistics, and file Project Sunlight reports. • Ensure performance evaluations are submitted timely and manage the Oracle Procurement process. • Review the Zywave and DOB websites for updates the SST and communicate them to staff.• Coordinate Safety Group meeting attendance and process requests from RCCs (DVD, binding, etc.). • Maintain the operational integrity of the department’s 2025 initiatives, ensuring all regional and statewide safety goals.
Minimum Qualifications • One year of permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law. Eligible titles include, but are not limited to: Administrative Assistant 1, Business Document Specialist 2, Motor Vehicle Consumer Services Representative 1, Licensing Examiner 1, Taxpayer Services Representative 1, Program Aide, Payroll Examiner 1; OR• Four years of customer service experience that required independence in both verbal and written communication responsibilities; OR • Associates degree or higher and two years of customer service experience that required independence in both verbal and written communication responsibilities. At a future date, it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. Employees will then be afforded with all the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State.
