    We’re hiring a German Teacher at Waverly-Shell Rock High School starting for the 2026-2027 school year.

     

    We’re seeking a passionate educator who holds a valid Iowa secondary German teaching license and brings strong language skills, cultural curiosity, and a commitment to student growth. This role is ideal for a teacher leader who values collaboration and wants to help build a strong, modern language acquisition model for high school learners.

     

    Waverly has a rich history rooted in German heritage and proudly maintains a sister city relationship with Eisenach, a historic German city known for its deep cultural significance. Eisenach is closely connected to Martin Luther, who translated the New Testament at Wartburg Castle, and Johann Sebastian Bach, who was born there.
