Residence Supervisor Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm with flexibility to meet program needs, supervisor of one house.
A Day in the Life of a Residence Supervisor:
+ Trains, implements and monitors Staff Action Plans, Protective Oversight Plans, High Risk Plans and Behavior Support/Monitoring Plans.
+ Assures adequate staffing to meet program and/or individualized needs as identified. Responsible for house staffing schedules and creating staff assignment sheets.
+ Assures a healthy, safe, sanitary living environment. Assumes general oversight of physical plant and equipment.
+ Provides supervision to staff to include orientation, training, and monitoring of performance. Provides periodic observation of staff during evening and overnight shifts. Completes any necessary disciplinary action and initial/annual performance appraisals of all assigned staff.
+ Reviews applications for vacant positions and interviews candidates in a timely manner. Makes hiring recommendations and completes necessary paperwork.
+ Responsible for the daily operation of residence and service provision to individuals to include, but not limited to; paying household bills, household/individual purchasing, transportation, family visits, recreation, medication administration, distribution of individual funds, etc.
+ Supervises record maintenance, documentation of service provision (i.e. - residential habilitation, behavior tracking, monthly summaries, medical tracking, medical appointments, daily logs, etc.) and completion of Agency and Program specific required forms.
Who We Are Looking For:
+ Associates Degree in Human Resources or related field, one year experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and one year supervisory experience OR High School Diploma or GED, one year experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and three years' supervisory experience.
+ Combination of education and experience may be considered.
+ Must possess a current, valid New York State driver's license that meets the Agency driver standards.
+ Effective written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to foster teamwork between all members via open communication and sharing of responsibilities.
