Preferred Qualifications:Experience with consultant and/or construction contacts.
Experience with payment systems for consultant and/or construction contracts.
Experience with databases and web-content management programs.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Experience with financial reporting.
Experience presenting information to audiences from 5-60 people including internal staff, design professionals, and clients.
Job Description:
Summary
Real Estate and Capital Planning at Iowa State University is seeking qualified candidates for a Contract Administrator II to join the Contract Administration team.
The Contract Administrator will develop contractual agreements that are compliant with federal and state regulations and will maintain a vendor database of qualified suppliers. This position will lead public meetings, such as pre-bid meetings and bid openings, and will need to maintain close working relationships with management, customers, and other professionals. This position may prepare financial reports as needed.
The successful candidate will possess good communication skills, strong analytical and organizational skills, be detail oriented, and have the ability to guide a variety of project teams with conflicting interests, needs, or requirements; and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Level Guidelines• Intermediate-level position with solid professional and/or technical skills working under general supervision to achieve goals• Applies broad, working knowledge of the principles of the field to moderately complex, difficult, and varied problems and issues• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action and resolve problems• Responds to a broad range of inquiries and requests• May provide training and/or direction to lower-level staff• May lead projects of moderate scope and complexity• Provides guidance to students
