Description We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our team in Rochester, Washington. In this role, you will play a vital part in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and efficient network systems within a dynamic and high-security environment. Your expertise will ensure the reliability and protection of critical infrastructure, supporting gaming operations, financial systems, and sensitive data.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage enterprise network systems, including hardware, software, and wireless configurations, to ensure optimal performance.
• Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls and other security technologies to safeguard systems and data.
• Implement advanced security measures, such as VPNs and perimeter defenses, to protect applications and infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve network, hardware, and software issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Replace or repair faulty network components to maintain system reliability.
• Analyze network performance and recommend strategies for optimization and improvement.
• Collaborate on disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution to ensure operational resilience.
• Manage network access controls and monitor usage to uphold security standards.
• Design, test, and deploy networking software, operating systems, and hardware configurations.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation, diagrams, and procedures for network and server environments. Requirements • At least 6 years of combined experience in network engineering and cybersecurity.
• Strong skills in configuring, administering, and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
• Proficiency in developing accurate network diagrams and documentation, with Microsoft Visio experience preferred.
• Familiarity with high-security environments such as casinos, gaming facilities, or tribal governments is highly desirable.
• Experience working with Aruba switches and Palo Alto firewalls is preferred.
• Knowledge of Illumio and Zscaler technologies is advantageous.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, Palo Alto PCNSE, or Fortinet NSE4 are highly valued.
