    Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis during the busy tax season. This role involves preparing and reviewing partnership and corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations. The position is located in New York, NY, and offers the potential for conversion to a permanent role based on performance.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and review complex partnership and corporate tax returns, including Forms 1065, 1120, 1120S, and 1120F.

    • Ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws while identifying potential tax-saving opportunities.

    • Utilize tax software such as CCH ProSystem fx and Lacerte to efficiently complete tax filings.

    • Collaborate with the Tax Manager to address client-specific tax challenges and provide tailored solutions.

    • Conduct research on tax regulations to ensure accurate application in all filings.

    • Maintain detailed documentation of tax preparation processes and client records.

    • Work independently to meet tight deadlines during peak tax season.

    • Assist in preparing consolidated tax returns and resolving any discrepancies.

    • Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary financial information and answer tax-related inquiries. Requirements • Proven experience in preparing individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns.

    • Proficiency in tax software, including CCH ProSystem fx and Lacerte.

    • In-depth knowledge of IRS forms such as 1065, 1120, 1120S, and 1120F.

    • Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.

    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.

    • Familiarity with consolidated tax returns and complex tax scenarios.
