Description We are looking for a dynamic Leasing Agent to join our team in Long Beach, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in managing leasing activities across a multi-site portfolio of residential properties. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, has experience, demonstrates a passion for customer service, and has an aptitude for multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Greet prospective clients warmly and assess their needs to match them with suitable properties.
• Provide detailed information about residential properties and the surrounding community to prospective tenants.
• Schedule and conduct property tours, ensuring units are presented in the best possible condition.
• Oversee the application process, including collecting deposits and ensuring adherence to Fair Housing regulations.
• Collaborate with Property Managers and Maintenance teams to address tenant concerns and maintain property standards.
• Monitor advertising efforts and adjust strategies to enhance leasing performance.
• Conduct regular inspections of vacant units, document conditions using AppFolio, and post advertisements online.
• Execute leasing agreements and related documents with tenants who have relevant experience, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Support marketing initiatives by offering creative ideas to promote properties and attract new tenants.
• Stay informed on local market trends and competition to maintain a competitive edge. Requirements • Possess a valid California driver’s license and have reliable, insured transportation.
• Demonstrate at least 3 years of experience in residential leasing, preferably across multiple sites.
• Exhibit strong communication and organizational skills, along with computer literacy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AppFolio is highly preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
• Maintain a positive and detail-oriented attitude, even in challenging situations.
• Familiarity with Fair Housing laws and property leasing regulations.
