Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Vero Beach, Florida. In this Contract to potential long-term position, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting essential accounting functions. This role offers a great opportunity to utilize your expertise in corporate accounting and contribute to a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and balance sheet accounts to maintain accurate financial records.

• Manage month-end close processes, including prepaid expenses, deferred revenue, and other adjustments.

• Handle corporate tax returns and sales tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

• Process credit card transactions and ensure proper documentation for audit purposes.

• Compile and analyze financial reports to assist in decision-making and performance evaluation.

• Collaborate with auditors by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

• Utilize Sage Intacct and Microsoft Excel for efficient financial management and reporting.

• Conduct account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Support analytical reviews to enhance financial accuracy and compliance. Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or related roles.

• Proficiency in Sage Intacct and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong knowledge of corporate tax, sales tax, and tax return processes.

• Experience with general ledger maintenance and journal entries.

• Ability to perform account reconciliations and manage balance sheet accounts.

• Familiarity with month-end close procedures, including prepaid expenses and deferred revenue.

• Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external auditors.
