Summary You will serve as a Safety Data Specialist in the Data Analytics Directorate of NAVSAFECOM. Responsibilities You will be responsible for maintaining integrity and accuracy of risk management information, requiring strong knowledge of occupational safety and mishap reporting You will serve as the quality control administrator that reviews mishap and hazard-related source data You will examine documents and electronically submitted data to ensure completeness, determines the most appropriate and accurate values for individual data elements You will provide support to leadership in all matters relating to operational and policy aspects of safety databases, data entry, data collection and troubleshooting issues. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service of equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience may include the following: maintaining the integrity and accuracy of risk management identification databases; communicating database inconsistencies to determine the level of importance; gathering information to verify reports; utilizing information systems to produce spreadsheets; demonstrating skills in automated research tools, and relevant databases.
