Position Purpose
Sleep Number seeks an Executive Assistant with experience simultaneously and seamlessly supporting two or more C-Suite Executive leaders (leaders reporting to CEO). Success in this role requires a proactive and intuitive professional who thrives on managing their day in a result-driven, fast-paced environment. As an Executive Assistant, you will be tasked to balance priorities while fielding multiple daily requests by exercising good judgement and elite problem-solving skills in a variety of situations.
This position plays an integral role in managing day-to-day support needs contributing to the Executives’ efficiency and effectiveness through insight, intellectual capacity, planning and agility. The Executive Assistant is responsible for procedural and operational management of the function’s leadership team mechanisms.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Support leadership by preparing for mechanisms, create and collect content to compile MS PowerPoint presentations, prepare agendas, send pre-reads & recaps as needed, manage logistics, and ensure that everything goes smoothly during the meeting.
+ Demonstrate foresight to effectively manage upcoming priorities and ensure leadership is prepared to accomplish objectives with materials and business recaps needed.
+ Navigate complex calendaring through MS Outlook to ensure efficiency and maximum use of leader's time, effectively navigating changing priorities as they occur.
+ Plan and organize travel, proactively anticipating and managing travel-related issues and coordination, and process expenses in a timely manner. Ability to build knowledge of individual travel patterns and preferences and anticipate needs.
+ Monitor inboxes, compose messages while ensuring correspondence is accurate, complete and properly handled.
+ Demonstrate initiative, discretion, and grace while anticipating needs and exhibit confidence when making decisions on behalf of the Executives.
+ Build cross-functional internal relationships, including partnering closely with other Executive Assistants who support C-level leaders and pursue opportunities to change or lean out processes or approaches.
+ Operate as a liaison between leaders, team members, and cross-functional partners.
+ Act as a key partner on special projects as needed.
Position Requirements
+ Progressive administrative assistant experience, with success supporting multiple C-Suite Executives
+ Project management experience, a plus
+ Four-year degree preferred or equivalent experience
+ Ability to know what matters while learning and understanding key strategic materials with a focus on intellectual curiosity
+ Bold emotional intelligence and the ability navigate interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically
+ Ability to process new information quickly and respond with a high sense of urgency
+ Driven and highly organized with ability to keep pace of the organization
+ Values being a life-long learner and a keen observer
+ Ability to establish trust and handle confidential information
+ Strong organizational, planning, scheduling and time management skills
+ Experience driving the organization and preparation of events
+ Superior communication skills with exceptional executive presence
+ Strong knowledge and proficiency in Office365 (MS Outlook, MS Excel) and skilled at creating professional and visually sophisticated MS PowerPoint presentations
+ Virtual meeting set up and planning skills leveraging MS Teams
Working Conditions
+ This position is located at Sleep Number’s Minneapolis headquarters and onsite presence is expected
+ Overtime work may be required, as requested and pre-approved by the Executive leader
Hourly Pay Range: $35.48 -$47.28
