    We Are Seeking

     

    Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for Assistant Pool Manager for the upcoming season! At Team Gilbert, we hire innovative, forward-thinking problem-solvers who love what they do! In addition to possessing the ability to live out our core and functional values daily, candidates must possess the following requirements:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Knowledge of swimming pool health regulations, laws, and ordinances governing public swimming pool operation

    + Good physical condition and stamina required

    + StarGuard ELITE Lifeguard Training Certificate (Lifeguard). Water Safety Instructor Certificate or Starfish/Ellis (Instructors/Coaches)

    + Must be able to work consistently from mid-May through early August with minimal time off.

    + Personal cell phone is preferred to clock in and out of shifts

    Assistant Pool Manager

    $25.76 Hour; 35-40 hours per week

     

    + Assists the Pool Manager in daily pool operations including collecting fees, preparing daily financial records and deposits, and ensuring pool and facility cleanliness and maintenance;

    + Acts as Manager on Duty when the Pool Manager is not present;

    + Assists in supervising and evaluating part-time pool staff;

    + Assists in the development and implementation of aquatic programs;

    + Maintains staff attendance and scheduling;

    + Enforces pool rules and regulations;

    + Assists in implementing special events, performing such tasks as setting up equipment, monitoring pool area for safety, leading children in games, and judging contest.

     

    The primary function of this position is to provide safety and coach or teach aquatic skills and activities. You must be able to resolve conflicts, adapt to participants' needs/behaviors, respond to emergency situations, and enforce policies and procedures.     Staff who take more than one week (seven days) off for vacation during the pool season (mid May through mid July) are moved to our Rove/Sub List and are not assigned pools.
