Compensation:
Assistant Transit Management Analyst I: $67,933 - $80,421 (TA)
Assistant Transit Management Analyst II: $78,874 - $87,847 (TA)
Associate Transit Management Analyst: $89,162 - $115,445 (TA)
Responsibilities:
+ Compliance & Standards Evaluation: Review vendor submitted materials such as parts catalogs and technical documentation for compliance with NYCT specifications and applicable industry standards.
+ Commodity Data Management: Maintain and validate commodity classifications and metadata in the NYCT Commodity Management System (CMS) database to ensure data integrity, consistency, and alignment with procurement and inventory systems.
+ Technical Data Interpretation: Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and parts catalogs to extract and verify dimensional material, and manufacturing specifications for use in procurement and maintenance planning.
+ Parts Evaluation Coordination: Support the Preliminary Product Evaluation Criteria (PPEC) and QPL process by issuing submittals, tracking submissions, monitoring approval workflows, and coordinating First Article Inspections (FAI) or Engineering Tests (ETC) as needed.
+ Catalog Development & Maintenance: Assist in the preparation and updating of part catalog records, including detailed material descriptions, manufacturer data, and application mapping across car classes and systems.
+ Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work with Engineering, Procurement, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance teams to resolve material discrepancies, streamline workflows, and support cross-functional initiatives.
+ Documentation Management: Maintain structured records of evaluations, investigations, and correspondence to ensure traceability and support internal audits and compliance reporting.
+ Maintenance Systems Support: Contribute to the development and maintenance of Scheduled Maintenance System (SMS) component plans, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and overhaul documentation through data analysis of components failures and wear patterns.
+ Rotational Project Assignments: Participate in rotational assignments across Maintenance Support units to support strategic initiatives, gain exposure to technical disciplines, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
+ Field-Based Data Collection: Conduct field visits, inspections, and teardown observations to collect data, verify part configurations, and support material evaluation and process improvement.
Education and Experience:
Assistant Transit Management Analyst I and II:
1.A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, or
2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience working in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, engineering, in management or methods of analysis, operations research, organization research or program evaluation, personnel or public administration, staff development, employment program planning or administration, security management; or general administration .
Associate Transit Management Analyst:
1.A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one year of full‐time satisfactory professional experience working in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, engineering, in management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation, personnel or public administration, staff development, employment program planning or administration, security management; or general administration; or
2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above.

Selection Method:
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
