The Electrical Manufacturing Engineer must have a strong electrical background to support the assembly and testing of low and medium voltage equipment. This role requires hands-on experience in electrical systems and components, combined with expertise in manufacturing process optimization. You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on the shop floor, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
You will leverage Lean Six Sigma methodologies and advanced manufacturing practices to optimize workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality. Additionally, you will act as a subject matter expert for electrical testing processes and ensure seamless integration of new technologies into production.
Roles & Responsibilities:
+ Support assembly and testing of electrical equipment, including low and medium voltage switchgear.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical issues during production.
+ Develop and implement standardized work instructions for electrical assembly and testing.
+ Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma tools (Kaizen, 5S, line balancing).
+ Analyze material and process flows to optimize layout and reduce waste.
+ Perform capacity analysis and utilize simulation tools for process improvement.
+ Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability of electrical components.
+ Train technicians on electrical assembly/testing procedures and safety standards.
+ Monitor KPIs related to electrical testing accuracy, cycle time, and product quality.
+ Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
+ Hands-on experience with low and medium voltage equipment (switchgear) in assembly and testing environments.
+ Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques.
+ Familiarity with mechanical systems and integration with electrical components.
+ Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
Preferred Skills:
+ Proficient in CAD tools for electrical layout design (AutoCAD preferred).
+ Experience with electrical testing equipment and protocols.
+ Advanced knowledge of SAP ERP/MRP for production and inventory management.
+ Skilled in Microsoft Power BI for reporting and analytics.
+ Lean Six Sigma certification (Green/Black Belt preferred).
+ Proven ability to lead Kaizen events and structured problem-solving initiatives.
