    HIRING Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – School-Based

     

    Grade Levels: Middle School & High School

     

    Start Date: January 19th– End of School Year

     

    Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Exact hours TBD)

    About the Role

    Amergis is looking for a passionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our school-based team and make a meaningful impact on students’ lives. In this role, you’ll provide therapy services to students with higher needs, primarily in self-contained or MAP-A classrooms. While most students are elementary-aged (K–6), you’ll also support a few at the secondary level. You’ll collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists to implement individualized plans that help students thrive academically and socially.

    What You’ll Do

    + Deliver therapy services based on OT-developed plans.

    + Support students with significant needs in classroom settings.

    + Partner with OTs and school staff to ensure seamless care and progress.

    + Manage a caseload (details finalized after OT meeting).

    What We’re Looking For

    + Active COTA license in Missouri.

    + Experience in school-based or pediatric settings is preferred.

    + Flexibility to work across multiple campuses

    + An OTA who enjoys working with Middle & High School students with special needs.

    + Able to work as a team player.

    + Must be able to complete the school year.

    + Able to work 40-hours per week.

    Additional Details

    + No testing responsibilities.

    + Collaborative team environment with experienced OTs.
