Special Education Teacher – Connections Program (2026School Year)
Local Pay Rate: $50/HR
Position Type: 1.0 FTE
Contract Dates: January 5, 2026 – May 21, 2026
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 2:40 PM (Teacher approved for upto 8 hours/day)
Skilled SpecialEducation Teacher to support our Connections Program, servingstudents with social, behavioral, and emotional needs. This role is ideal foran educator who thrives in a structured, supportive environment and iscommitted to helping students build the skills they need to succeed.
Position Overview
Caseload & Classroom Structure
+ Caseload: 12 students or fewer
+ Classroom Support: 2 paraprofessionals per 12 students
+ Student Focus: Social, behavioral, and emotional development
+ Instructional Model: Small-group and individualized support
Primary Responsibilities
+ Provide instruction and support in a specialized Connections classroom
+ Implement and monitor IEPs
+ Conduct IEP-related testing
+ Collaborate with paras, related service providers, and campus teams
+ Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal SPED requirements
+ Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
Required Qualifications
+ ADE SPED License (Alternative Certification accepted)
+ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC)
+ Experience supporting students with behavioral, emotional, or social needs preferred
+ Ability to work collaboratively with paraprofessionals
+ Ability to meet all district onboarding requirements
