Position Summary
The summer season is on its way and the Lincoln County Parks Department is looking to prepare for another great season of outdoor enjoyment for the people of our community. We are currently looking for a Seasonal Campground Office Staff person to work the booth at Moonshine Park this coming season.
$18.17 - $24.42 per hour*
*Lincoln County follows Oregon Pay Equity laws in reviewing education and experience for wage offer.
This is a SEASONAL position that begins* Memorial Day weekend and ends Labor Day weekend.
*Training begins April 15th, move in can be as early as April 1st.
Moonshine Park in Lincoln County
The person in this role will assist patrons with the reservation system and check in process. Provide customer service and hospitality towards visitors. Generate reports, cash handling, and other general office tasks as assigned. This position is also responsible for p erforming general manual tasks on a seasonal basis at all Lincoln County parks, while observing all safety rules, laws, and park rules.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities
Assisting guests / check-ins:
+ Utilize Firefly reservation computer program to check in guests.
+ Meet and greet campground guests at check-in, collect fees, and remind guests of compliance with campground rules.
+ Sell day parking passes, extra vehicle passes and firewood.
+ Extend hospitality and courtesy to guests and other employees.
+ Facilitate cash transactions on site.
Enforcement:
+ Provide campground rules to users and seek compliance.
+ Report any illegal activities to law enforcement.
Other duties as assigned:
+ Assist with general cleaning of park when needed. Collect garbage and clean Park restrooms.
+ Assist Park Hosts with daily patrols of the campground.

Typical Qualifications
Minimum Education Level
High School Diploma / GED
Desirable Qualifications: Previous experience maintaining public parks and contact with the public preferred.
Knowledge of:
+ Computer systems.
+ Secure cash handling procedures.
Skill or ability to:
+ Work in a safe and efficient manner.
+ Observe safety rules, laws, and Park rules.
+ Receive and give directions.
+ Problem-solve and de-escalate tense situations.
+ Complete tasks without direct supervision.
+ Lead a small group of employees and volunteers.

This position requires full availability during our peak season (Memorial Day in May through Labor Day in September). During this time, vacation requests cannot be accommodated. The schedule will be either Wednesday through Saturday or Sunday through Wednesday, approximately 30 hours per week. Are you able to commit to one of these schedules and maintain full availability during the entire peak season (May through September)? Please describe any planned commitments or limitations.
