Job Description
Position Overview:
Position is responsible for the maintenance, repairs, installation and improvement of blow mold and downstream equipment and support systems at the facility by directing, managing and developing Maintenance Technicians, which includes conducting necessary training for processing and quality control for the site location.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
+ Supervises the hourly maintenance co-workers ensuring a motivated and skilled workforce. Manages team of direct reports and is responsible for employee selection, training and development, mentoring, and performance management. Responsible for overall talent management and employee engagement; cultivates an environment of safety, high performance, and ethical and legal compliance; addresses employee relations issues. Carries out supervisory responsibilities within the organization’s guidelines and policies.
+ Directs and assists in the repair, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and modification of all plant machinery, equipment, and tooling.
+ Directs and monitors effective preventive maintenance program and ensures compliance with written plans, programs and procedures.
+ Establishes priorities for the maintenance function and effective utilization of personnel and equipment. Works closely with production personnel to ensure all activities are completed in timely manner, according to schedule.
+ Recommends and institutes programs that will improve safety and efficiency and reduce costs/scrap, while improving quality and customer service.
+ Coordinates with Vendors for maintenance purposes, including monitoring the safety work permit program.
+ Responsibility for parts inventory and purchasing.
+ Able to safely and efficiently operate a forklift.
+ Other tasks or projects as assigned by the Site Manager to meet the needs of the overall business and plant.
Job Specifications and Requirements:

Qualifications:
+ Associates degree in mechanical or electrical engineering discipline preferred, or demonstrated supervisory leadership experience in the maintenance field.
+ Five years industrial maintenance experience, preferably with blow molding experience.
+ Must have good working knowledge of high production machinery and facilities.
+ Requires excellent trouble-shooting skills.
+ Experience with computerized maintenance systems preferred.
+ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
+ Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
+ Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business documents. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to groups.
+ Valid drivers’ license
