We are currently looking for a **Quality Control Technician Internship** at our Exton, PA office.
The 2026 dsm-firmenich Summer Internship Program will run from June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026.
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

Your Key Responsibilities:
+ Will work primarily in QC laboratories and manufacturing clean rooms.
+ Must follow all safety regulations including the wearing of appropriate attire (lab coat, gloves, goggles, mask, respirator etc.).
+ May be required to work with toxic and/or caustic chemicals, or other hazardous materials.
+ Conduct laboratory tests and inspections on raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
+ Analyse, document, and maintain all test data according to cGMPs.

You Bring:
+ Currently working on completion of a bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry or related field and have completed at least two full years of undergraduate study prior to the start of the internship.
+ Candidates must be available to work full-time (37.5/40 hour per week) for 12 weeks beginning on June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026.
+ Have a GPA of 3.0 or greater/Completed at least 2/3 Science lab courses with passing grade of B or better.
+ Must have reliable mode of transportation.
The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour. Compensation will be dependent on factors that include location, education, training, specific skills, and years of experience.
At the end of this internship, you will gain:
+ **Understanding of QC Principles**
+ Learn Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
+ Understand regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO, ICH guidelines).
+ **Testing Techniques**
+ Gain hands-on experience with analytical methods like HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, and mechanical testing for polymers.
+ Learn sterility, endotoxin, and bioburden testing for biologics and devices.
+ **Documentation & Data Integrity**
+ Practice accurate recording in lab notebooks and electronic systems.
+ Understand ALCOA principles (Attributable, Legible, Contemporaneous, Original, Accurate).
+ **Attention to Detail**
+ QC work demands precision—small errors can lead to big compliance issues.
+ **Communication**
+ Learn how to report results clearly and escalate deviations promptly.
+ **Team Collaboration**
+ Work effectively with cross-functional teams (R&D, Manufacturing, QA)
